About BizFinAffairs
BizFinAffairs is a reference site for people running the finance side of an Indian business. Due dates, rate charts, working templates, and step-by-step guides for the things that have to get done every month.
It exists because most of what's published on Indian business finance is either a law-firm summary written for other lawyers, or filler that repeats the same four paragraphs without ever telling you which form to file. Neither helps at 9pm on the 19th when GSTR-3B is due tomorrow.
Who writes it
Everything here is written or reviewed by an ICAI-qualified Chartered Accountant in practice, whose week is spent inside the books of growing Indian companies — manufacturers, SaaS businesses, clinics, trading firms, professional practices. The guides come out of that work: the questions clients actually ask, and the mistakes that turn out to be expensive.
That matters for a specific reason. Compliance content ages badly. A due date shifts, a threshold moves, a portal changes its form, and an article that was correct in March is quietly wrong by August. Someone who files these returns every month notices. Someone writing from a search results page does not.
How we check what we publish
- Every number is checked against the source before it goes up — the GST portal, the income-tax portal, MCA, the relevant notification. Not against another blog.
- Regulatory pages are dated. Each carries the financial year it applies to and the date it was last reviewed. If you're reading something undated elsewhere, assume it's stale.
- Corrections are made in place, with the change noted. We don't quietly edit and pretend it always said that.
- We say when we don't know. Where a position is genuinely unsettled, or depends on facts we can't see, the page says so instead of guessing.
- Nothing here is advice. It's reference material. Your situation has details a web page can't know, and for anything consequential you should talk to your own CA — or ours.
Who this is for
People who have to do the work themselves. Founders without a finance team. Finance managers and accountants who want a second source. Operations leads who inherited compliance and are learning it in public. Foreign companies figuring out what running an India entity actually involves, month to month.
How we're funded, and who we're part of
BizFinAffairs is published by VCXOS Management and Technologies LLP, based in Bengaluru. VCXOS runs two other things:
- BizFinLabs — the services practice. Virtual CFO and Virtual CTO for startups and SMEs, serving clients in India, Canada, Germany and the UAE. When something here says “if you'd rather not run this yourself”, that's who does it.
- VCXOS — a software product, in development.
We're telling you this because it's the honest answer to “what's the catch”. The catch is that we hope some of you eventually hire the services team. That's it. There is no paywall, the templates aren't watermarked, and nothing here is written to make a problem look scarier than it is so you'll call us.
